Dear Virginia Dermatological Society Members,

I hope you are all well and staying cool in this heat!  I am writing to invite you to participate in an event in Richmond, VA, sponsored by the Women's Dermatological Society (WDS) Play Safe in the Sun Campaign.  The event centers around the Duramed Futures Tour, a golf organization featuring the up-and-coming young women golfers in the nation.  The Duramed Tour will host a golf tournament at Richmond Country Club Thursday, August 12 through Sunday, August 15, and though partnership with the WDS is offering sun protection education and a skin cancer screening.

I hope that you will consider volunteering for this event.  Board-certified dermatologists are needed to conduct the skin cancer screenings which will take place at the following times at the golf club located at 12950 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA, 23238:

Thursday Aug 12 2-5 pm
Friday Aug 13 9-12 and 12-3
Saturday Aug 14 9-12 and 12-3
Sunday Aug 15 9-12

It would be great to have at least 2 dermatologists for each 3 hour screening.  Dermatology residents and office personnel are welcome to participate in education but would not conduct screenings.

Welcome!
